Become a Culinary Wellness Educator

Join a growing model that places Registered Dietitians into hospitality, culinary, and wellness spaces.

A Different Way to Practice (and Travel)

Most dietitians are trained for clinical or counseling roles. Culinary Wellness Educators expands that path, placing RDNs in dynamic environments where food, education, and experience intersect. This is a shift from traditional counseling into experiential, food-centered education.

This work focuses on:

  • Translating nutrition into real-world food experiences

  • Collaborating with chefs and hospitality teams

  • Leading engaging, group-based programming

  • Supporting behavior change through lived experiences - not just instruction

What This Looks Like

  • Lead small-group nutrition education sessions within hospitality environments

  • Facilitate cooking classes and demonstrations

  • Collaborate with culinary teams on-site

  • Translate evidence-based nutrition into practical guidance for guests

  • Adapt programming to diverse audiences and settings

  • Guide guests through real-world food decisions in restaurant and dining settings

Who This Is For

  • RDNs interested in culinary medicine

  • Dietitians seeking experience in non-traditional roles or flexible

  • Educators who enjoy group facilitation

  • Clinicians looking to expand beyond one-on-one counseling

  • Professionals interested in travel or hospitality environments

How It Works

We are developing a structured onboarding and training pathway for Culinary Wellness Educators.

  • Program orientation and facilitation guidance

  • Culinary collaboration frameworks

  • Standardized programming templates

  • Ongoing support and community

What This Can Become

This work is evolving into a structured network of Culinary Wellness Educators, with opportunities for:

  • Short-term placements in hospitality settings

  • Ongoing partnerships with resorts and teaching kitchens

  • A future training and onboarding pathway

  • A community of dietitians working in this emerging space

While this is not a job placement program, it is designed to expand your skill set and exposure to emerging roles in culinary, hospitality, and wellness settings.

Currently:
